2020 Fannin Youth Leadership program kicks off!

The 2020 Fannin Youth Initiative Leadership Program (FYI) kicked off on January 23rd, 2020 with 14 students from the high school.  Spearheaded by Christie Gribble, Fannin County Development Authority, and Mrs. Lynn Burch, Fannin County High School, FYI in 2019 with 10 students. FYI is a program designed to provide students in Fannin County an in-depth view of all the community has to offer.  Sessions include discussions with students about what they view as the most important needs of Fannin County, looking at thriving businesses in the community (small and large), healthcare options, services at the Courthouse, and a trip to the Georgia State Capitol.  Students are each given a mentor, who is a gracious volunteer from the community, who will work with the student on professional development topics throughout the program.  Professional development topics range from resumes to communication skills.
