Fannin County, with an overall work force of approximately 10,000 people, employs more than 1,100 in the manufacturing industry. Panel Built, founded in 1995, provides a variety of specialty products and steel work, with the military being a major customer. Of its seven locations, Panel Built’s facility in Fannin is the company’s most profitable as well as a highly desirable location for its workforce.
