Position Description Summary:

Georgia Mountains Health is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee primary care operations in offices located in Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, and Murray counties. This position will require the Practice Manager to travel between office locations in each county.

This position will be responsible for the operations and management of each location and work in conjunction with other support departments such as Human Resources, finance, clinical professionals, CFO and CEO. Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of with Office Managers to enhance productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports. Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives. Experience with primary care management and Federally Qualified Health Centers is a plus.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, medical practice management, and coordination of people and resources. Patient/customer and Personal Service  Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient/customer satisfaction.

Required Skills/Abilities: Proficiency with electronic medical records, patient scheduling, HIPAA, Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new applications as needed. Critical thinking, active listening, judgement, and decision making that includes deductive and inductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, and impeccable time management.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with three to five years’ relevant experience, management experience required/clinical management preferred.
