This position requires the ability to lift and load/unload 50+ lbs., several times daily, 5 days per week, and the ability to drive a DOT registered vehicle, which is described under “Company Vehicle” below.

These items include furniture, appliances, building materials, and other light and/or heavy household items in Fannin & Gilmer counties.

Items are picked up from-donors and/or delivered-to customers.

Items picked-up are returned to ReStore and safely unpacked in an efficient manner and items delivered-to customers are taken to them in the same manner.

Pickups & deliveries are scheduled in-advance, and keep in mind: This is also an in-store position. You will only be picking-up/delivering a couple days per week.

HFH’s Company Vehicle:

Our company truck is an air conditioned/heated, well running, DOT inspected (annually), 2015 Ford E-350.. It is a 16′ (length) box truck. Drivers are required to obtain & keep a DOT medical card, which is renewed bi-annually. Habitat for Humanity will schedule and purchase all of the personal/vehicle-related expenses as a means of ensuring the safest conditions for its drivers. There’s no expense out of pocket for staff.

Employee Status: Non-exempt, hourly & sthis position is promised at least 40 hours per week

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a valid license and maintain a good driving record
  • Have the ability to spend a majority of day lifting, standing, kneeling, bending and moving about while carrying items that may weigh in excess of 50+ lbs.
