Georgia Department of Labor – Blue Ridge Career Center
The Blue Ridge Career Center is a Department of Labor One Stop facility offering a variety of services for business & industry including information on wage rates, workplace regulations, job posting, applicant screening and hiring assistance.
Georgia Quick Start Training Program
As part of Georgia’s pro-business environment, Georgia Quick Start assists new, existing, and expanding businesses with finding and training qualified employees. Quick Start is a nationally recognized training program that works through the state’s technical schools to provide customized training at no charge for qualifying business and industry.
Appalachian Technical College
As the technical college serving our area Appalachian Tech is equipped to provide a variety of business and industry services including customized training, business process consulting, and OSHA training. In addition, Appalachian Tech is continually working to partner their graduates with area companies.
Georgia Work Ready Program
The Georgia Work Ready program provides employers with a tool to make quick evaluations of a person’s skill level as it relates to the job requirements. Potential applicants provide employers with their Workeys certificate providing a solid foundation for all new hires.
Georgia Hire
Georgia Hire is a free online recruiting service that connects Georgia’s college graduates with employers. Employers of any size or type can register and search for potential employees to meet their needs.
